Herts School Games - Cricket
Time & Location
About The Event
‘Paper Smash’ will challenge pupils to work on the accuracy of their throwing, essential within cricket to help get the ball back to the bowler or wicket keeper to stump out an opponent.
Pupils should aim for targets on the wall (these can be downloaded and printed out) - 6 at the top, 1 underneath, 2 under 1 and 4 at the bottom. Then mark out 2 meters away from the wall. The aim is to see how many points (runs) you can get in 2 minutes. If you hit a 6 then you take a step back. If you hit a 4 then you take ½ a step back. Hit a 1 or 2 then you stay where you are. If you miss, you take a step forward.
Pupils have two weeks to record their scores. Schools can keep a record of all results but should submit the top 4 results from each year group for the virtual competition to email@example.com by 5pm on Friday 3rd July.
